April 2008 QST Feedback

In “The Doctor is IN” [Jan 2008, pp 55-56], the correct value of inductance to bring the antenna into resonance at 3.8 MHz is 13.7 mH.

In “Hamspeak” [Feb 2008, p 103], we missed a zero. A nanometer = 1/1,000,000,000 of a meter. One of the main reasons we use such prefixes rather than using all those zeros is to avoid such errors!

In “I Just Got My License and a Used HF Transceiver -- Now What?” [Mar 2008, pp 39-42], the label at the bottom of Figure 4 should read RG-58, RG-8 and RG-8X. --Thanks K4OL

In the 2007 ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest Results [Mar 2008, pp 79-80], 6I2HWB was listed as the overall winner of the 10 GHz Only category. Based on recalculation of the distance-based section of the score, 6I2HWB has been dropped to second place. The new winner of the 10 GHz Only category is 4B2WB. -- Sean Kutzko, KX9X
