In the June 2007 VHF QSO Party results [Dec 2007, pp 92-95], KA2LIM/2 was incorrectly reported as a Multioperator instead of a Limited Multioperator entrant. This change places them 9th overall in the category. The ARRL regrets the error.
In Microwavelengths [Nov 2007, p 92], two of the photo captions were reversed. The one labeled Figure 2 is actually Figure 3, “Balanced mixer for 1296 MHz.” The one labeled Figure 2 is actually Figure 3, “Dual balanced mixer for 5760 MHz” (not 1296 MHz as printed).
In “Hands-on Radio Experiment #58” [Nov 2007, pp 67-68], the stub impedances in Table 1 of all have the wrong sign. Change – to + and vice versa. A corrected table is available on the Hands-On Radio Web site, www.arrl.org/tis/info/HTML/Hands-On-Radio.
In “Hybrid Cascode — A General Purpose AGC IF Amplifier” [Dec 2007, pp 30-33], the reference to the “memory” capacitor C3 at the top of the center column of p 31 should say “C16.” It is shown correctly in Figure 4.
In “Product Review — Yaesu FT-450 HF and 6 Meter Transceiver” [Dec 2007, pp 53-59], the “Key Measurements Summary” graphic has the wrong values for third order intercept. The values from the –97 dBm level should have been used. For 80/20 meters, the 20 kHz value should have been +17/+17 dBm. The 20 meter 2 kHz spacing value should have been –11. Table 1 is correct as presented.
Clarification: Three ARRL volunteers were inadvertently not mentioned in the article about the recent ARRL/MARS demonstration in Washington, DC [Dec 2007, p 60]. Atlantic Division Vice Director Tom Abernethy, W3TOM; Maryland-DC Section Manager Jim Cross, WI3N, and Maryland-DC Section Emergency Coordinator Doug Lindsey, KB3HER, all took part in the day’s activities.
