Each issue of QST contains a variety of features and columns. You'll always find something of interest in QST!

T e c h n i c a l
The technical section of QST includes projects you can build--everything from transceivers to antennas. You'll also find articles that address various aspects of radio science and engineering, as well as tutorials on new communication methods.

Call it a haven for the ham on the go. Workbench is a special section in every QST that offers practical information you can use right away. It's designed to meet the needs of the busy amateur. "The Doctor is IN" answers your questions on just about every topic you can imagine. "Hints & Kinks" provides handy tips to enhance your ham enjoyment. Get your feet wet building real, functional circuits with "Hands-On Radio"--a series of low cost, simple electronics and radio experiments. You'll even find our exclusive "Short Takes" reviews of software and station accessories. "Short Takes" for each issue are included with the on-line Product Review archive.

QST also offers "departments" (columns) devoted to different facets of Amateur Radio. Columns appear monthly, bimonthly or quarterly, depending on the nature of the column.

Amateur Radio World: Radio waves do not respect international borders; our hobby is global. This bimonthly column keeps you abreast of international radio legislation that can affect you.

Amateur Satellites: A quarterly column that features the latest news about ham satellites and space communication.

At the Foundation: A column devoted to the activities of the charitable arm of the ARRL, the ARRL Foundation.

Coming Conventions: A monthly listing of ARRL conventions throughout the country.

Contest Calendar: A monthly lineup of on-air contests. There's something for everyone!

Correspondence: Hams have opinions in abundance, and you'll find them each month in Correspondence.
Feedback: To err is human, and there isn't a magazine on the planet that hasn't published an error from time to time. Fortunately, QST's Feedback is available to inform readers of mistakes if they occur. Those building QST projects in particular should check Feedback for late-breaking corrections to previous articles.
Eclectic Technology: A monthly glimpse at some of the fascinating projects and products in the realm of high-tech ham radio.
Exam Info: Twice each year QST updates you on the volunteer examination system. Whether you are a Volunteer Examiner, or just thinking about taking an exam in the near future, keep your eyes on Exam Info.
Hamfest Calendar: Chances are, there is a hamfest this month in your state. Consult the Hamfest Calendar!

Technical Correspondence: A forum for wide-ranging technical discussions.

VHF/UHF Century Club: A who's who of operators and their endless quest for contacts in the most prestigious VHF/UHF award program in the world.

W1AW Schedule: The Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station, W1AW, is on the air every weekday from ARRL Headquarters in Newington, Connecticut with news and CW practice. Find out when to listen.
