Data files for the 52 and 222 MHz bands have incorrect entries in the INPUT field.  (OUTPUT frequencies are incorrectly replicated in the INPUT field). To correct this problem, the original files should be replaced with the new files as follows.

TravelPlus 2003-2004 v7.0 -- Export Repeater Data

Repeater data in Comma Separated, Tab Separated, and Radio Programming formats will export from a Repeater List using File > Export Repeater Data but will contain trailing spaces in some fields. This may cause problems when importing and using data in other software. A new TravelPlus for Repeaters.exe file corrects this problem. To install this new file:

1. Download the self-extracting file tp70a.exe to your computer.

If the error occurs with Version 4.0a then copy these fix files from the CD-ROM (available in the "31037" directory) or download 31037.exe (28,672 bytes). Follow the readme.txt instructions.

The version may be determined from the menu at Help>About TravelPlus.

Running TravelPlus Without The CD

Some users want to run TravelPlus without the CD-ROM, to make it easier to travel. This information applies only to the 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 Editions of TravelPlus for Repeaters; the 1999-2000 Edition allows you to install directly to your hard drive.

To run TravelPlus from your hard drive, copy the contents of the entire CD to a directory on your hard drive. (For example, c:\travplus.ins.) The entire CD will need about 30MB of free space.

Add the statement subst z: c:\travplus.ins to your autoexec.bat. The subst command will remap a directory to it's own drive letter. Replace "z:" with an unused drive letter -- "z:" will probably work fine.

Reboot the computer. You should be able to see drive z: in the File Manager, Explorer or DOS. Run the TravelPlus install from z:\setup.exe and continue as normal.

Do not delete the z: remap or c:\travplus.ins where the CD contents reside. The subst command needs to remain in your autoexec.bat to use TravelPlus whenever your computer is turned on.

Note: If you have a lastdrive statement in you config.sys file, you will need to modify it to include the TravelPlus drive rempap. In the case of the example given, modify it to read lastdrive=z.
